What people ask us most often, before leaving a car with us.

• 01Will remapping damage the engine?+

  Not as long as we stay within what the engine can take. That is exactly why the car goes on the dyno before we touch the ECU: if the check reveals a mechanical weakness, we say so and we don’t proceed. The file is calibrated within the manufacturer’s tolerances.

• 02How long do you keep the car?+

  A day for a remap on its own: one dyno run on arrival, the work on the file, a second run to sign it off. Tuning work involving parts takes longer, and we give you a duration with the quote.

• 03What about the manufacturer’s warranty?+

  A modified ECU can be held against you by the manufacturer in a dispute over the engine or drivetrain. We discuss this before doing anything, and we keep the ability to return to the original file. It’s a fair question and it deserves a straight answer.

• 04Why a dyno, if the file is already proven?+

  Because two cars identical on paper don’t make the same numbers. Mechanical condition, servicing history, fuel, altitude: it all counts. The dyno sets your baseline and proves the gain on your car, not on a reference model.

• 05Is E85 ethanol worth it in Switzerland?+

  The fuel is considerably cheaper, but only a small number of Swiss stations carry it. The conversion mainly makes sense if you regularly cross into France, where the network is dense. We tell you this before converting anything.

• 06Will you work on a car you didn’t prepare?+

  Yes. A service, a fault to trace or a car to put right are approached the same way, whatever its history and whoever looked after it before.

• 07What does a remap cost?+

  From CHF 499, dyno time included, measured before and after. The final price depends on the car and the work chosen, and it is agreed after the first dyno run, before anything is done to the engine.

• 08Do I need an appointment?+

  Yes, for any work. The workshop runs by appointment so that the dyno and the lift are free when your car arrives. A call or a message is enough.
